Break the Silence

A Visiting Arts funded project. The ´Break the Silence´ Residency was developed by The University of Dundee, Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries, and Lochfergus House Arts, Kirkcudbright. The residency enabled a young South African artist, Nontobeke Ntombela, to work in Scotland for four months and so enhance understanding of the effect of HIV/AIDS on African culture. The venues involved included Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art, Dundee, Gracefild Art Centre, Dumfries, Lochfergus House Arts, Kirkcudbright Academy, Dumfries Academy, Castle Douglas High School and Dalbeattie High School.
