Artist involved in Cultural Exchange

As a transnational cultural player and developer, Dorte Dahlin has participated and initiated several projects. Dahlin curated (and participated in) the major cultural event ”Overlaps. North-Southeast”,at the Sharjah Art Museum, United Arab Emirates, in 2000. This led to Dahlin becoming an official Danish curator and provided the opportunity to introduce "Superflex" by Moonchannel; an internet based tv-studio at the Sharjah V. International Biennial. In close cooperation with Rector, Dr. Phil. Else Marie Bukdahl, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, she is engaged in the realization of the so-called ”Nomad Academy ”– an ongoing cultural exchangeprogram with the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Her own work can be viewed at the State Museum of Art in Copenhagen and the Aarhus Museum of Art among many others.
