Sally Rodwell

Sally Rodwell was born in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is a founding member of the touring theatre company Red Mole, whose philosophy was to play everywhere and for everyone. More recently Sally founded Roadworks, a multilingual ensemble of young performers and musicians which she directs. Sally is also a video artist, writer and teacher, and co-director, with Madeline McNamara, of Magdalena Aotearoa.

Sally Rodwell´s video documentary, Zucchini Roma - A Life In The Theatre, is her personal journey through 20 years of the performances and travels of theatre group Red Mole. There are interviews with performers, photographs, travelogues, and archival footage, including scenes from Sam Neill´s - Red Mole On The Road. The driving soundtrack is by composer/musician Jean McAllister.
