Mastermind Director

Gintaras Varnas is a recognized Lithuanian freelance director that has staged drama productions in theatres in Lithuania and abroad. Varnas is also an opera stage director at The Lithuanian as well as Latvian National Operas. Says Gintaras Rinkevicius, Musical Director and Conductor of The Latvian National Opera: " I am glad that ( Varnas ) allows the music to set up the mis-en-scene, that he uses visual directing where it´s of great importance...in order to avoid violation of the music and to make music the most important. It is not the only advantage of Gintaras Varnas, but the part that i as a conductor , appreciates the most. I do rely on him. During the performance I do not see any inadequacy between music and action."
