A meeting point for modern arabic and folk music
Basim El Radjee´s interest in music began at the age of 12,when he enrolled as a student of music and flute with a private teacher. At the age of 15 he became a student at the Academy of Music in Iraq and continued his private education. El Radjees first jobs as a musician was playing the flute together with Arabian folksingers which kindled his interest in singing as well as writing music. El Radjee comes from a poor family but thankfully not a musically impoverished background. He now writes and performs his own songs as a means to express himself and tell of his past , his culture and emotional experiences. He performs traditional and modern arabic folkmusic as well as popular tunes.
