The photographer Daniel Attoumo Amichia was born in Ghana around 1908 and died in1994 in Côte d’Ivoire. After an apprenticeship with his brother, in 1948 he moved to Grand-Bassam, where he worked as a society photographer. After his death his family destroyed his equipment and nearly his entire archive.
