Doron Furman has exhibited widely in Israel. He has also shown at the Goldsmiths Gallery in London in 1995, at the New York Experimental Film and Animation and New York Independent Film and Video Festivals in 2000 and at the MONA Museum of New Art Video Festival in Detroit in 2003. He was selected for a video residency at PVA MediaLab in Bridport, England in 2000 as part of the Swipe Media Festival.

Furman describes his work on gender and technology as, ´an attempt to understand the nature and practical consequences for women of aspects of the technological environment that they have widely experienced as alienating.´ He is interested in deviancy, ´to explore representations and regulations of the economised body´. Here again, Furman is looking at binary relations between men and women and how these are represented.

Doron Furman is currently developing a performance piece ‘Digital Kiss Dancer’ where he intends to work with a contemporary dancer in a public space. The planned piece would have three phases, in the street, in a train and a stage performance. The first two phases focus on pleasure and seduction, dissolving the borderline between self and other. He describes the third part as aiming to demonstrate the anguish of the Israeli and Palestinian people.
