Abbas Alkadhim is a painter, visual artist, installation artist, and sculptur educated in Baghdad, Rome and Copenhagen. Alkadhim’s works has been exhibited abroad and in Denmark and during his almost thirty years long carrier he has received several prices, among these as an installation artist winning the first pris and recognition as a UNESCO artist at the international art biennale in Cairo in 1998. Som initiativtager og projektleder har Abbas Alkadhim stået for flere store udstillingsprojekter i Danmark, deriblandt ”Under Anden Himmel” under Kulturby 96, hvor mere end 80 forskellige kunstnere fra 40 forskellige lande deltog. Som en videreførelse af det kunstneriske potentiale i eksilet har Alkadhim skabt netværket OUT OF TIME, der samler eksilerede mellemøstlige kunstnere, forfattere og intellektuelle.
