Jacek Dominiczak, born 1954 in Gdansk, Poland, is an architect and educator. He works on dialogic architecture both theory and design methodology, initiated in his doctorate at the Technical University of Gdansk, Poland (1989) - the school where he graduated with a M.A. (1978) and where he used to work between 1978 and 1991.

The work was initiated in his doctorate at the Technical University of Gdansk, Poland (1989) - the school where he graduated with a M.A. (1978) and where he used to work between 1978 and 1991.
He is affiliated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland, where he leads Architecture Design Studio and architecture+dialog Postgraduate Design Program, which he initiated in 2003 with Monika Zawadzka, an architect and cultural anthropologist.
He taught architecture and urban design in various schools in both Europe and America. He was visiting professor at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA (1991, 1993-1997), University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA (1992) and at Tec de Monterrey, Queretaro, Mexico (1998). He was invited for lecture courses by the Warsaw University in Warsaw, Poland (1999-2000) and by The Technical University of Gdansk Doctoral Program, Poland (2005). He also lectured at Zacheta, The National Gallery of Art, Warsaw, Poland (2004), at prestigious lecture series "What is Architecture?" in Krakow, Poland (2003), Muthesius Hochschule, Kiel, Germany (2002), Ecole Polytechnique Federale De Lausanne, Switzerland (1999), Staatliche Kunstakademie, Stuttgart, Germany (1997), Fachchochschule Schwäbisch Hall, Germany (1999, 2002, 2003), Kunstseminar, Freie Hochschule, Metzingen, Germany (1997) and many other architecture and art institutions.
Dominiczak is a registered architect, and practices architecture and urban design as implementation of his own research works. In 2000 he opened the architecture + dialog STUDIO. The STUDIO most recent works include architecture and urban design codes for Gdansk´s Historic City Centre (2004), Gdansk´s Shipyard Area (2002), and the historic central housing district in Gdynia (2002).
The recent years´ significant public presentation of Dominiczak´s works include: installation "Delay(er)ing Façade" at the 9th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice (2004, Polish Pavilion, together with Dominik Lejman, and cooperation with Monika Zawadzka and Marek Zygmunt), and year-long publication of "Dialogic City", an essay on architecture exteriority, in Architektura-murator, a key monthly architecture journal in Poland (issues: 10.2002-9.2003). Also, Dominiczak and Zawadzka run "diaade. the workplace for dialogic architecture" - the permanent Internet site which monitors events relevant to dialogic architecture project. (since 2000.)
Since 2003, Dominiczak and Zawadska have been international advisers to the SEAS project, initiated by Intercult. They have undertaken a series of urban mapping exercises as part of the the SEAS project’s work in sea harbours and resorts around the coasts of the Adriatic, Baltic, Black and North Seas. Their mappings include Rijeka (Croatia), Stockholm (Sweden) and Constanta (Romania). Future projects are planned for other SEAS project places including Odessa (Ukraine). The Constanta Mapping is published on Europe Now | Europe Next as part of the Black Sea Encounter. During the SEAS project Dominiczak was able to explore the links and overlaps between contemporary artists and his own practice, particularly relating to the work of Bad Co and Goran Sergej Pristas.
