Jan Torpus (*1963) lives and works in Basel. From 1989–1993 he studied interior design at the Massana Art and Design College in Barcelona. During the following two years he worked with the architect Daniel Freixes in Barcelona in the fields of interior design, lightning design and exhibition design. From 1996–1999 he studied audio visual design an the Schule für Gestaltung in Basel and since 1997 he works at the Hyperstudio in Basel. Since 1998 he teaches 3D-design and video at the polytechnic in Brugg (FHAA) and since 1999 multimedia at Höhere Schule für Gestaltung in Basel (HGKB) in the fields of fasion design and audio visual design.
Michel Durieux (*1970) lives and works in Katwijk, Netherlands. He received a masters degree in psychology, specialising in physiological correlations of emotions. After his studies he became interested in using his knowledge for developing new forms of interactive media and art. From 1999 - 2000 he studied sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Currently he is completing the second phase educational program at the department of image and sound.
